Seeley describes his fascinating ground breaking experiments which encompass most of what we currently know about feral hives, the communication processes involved during a swarm and the characteristics of hives preferred by bees.

Seeley also makes an argument that human groups might benefit by adopting some of the highly successful and efficient decision making strategies employed by bees.
